Objective: To offer my 30 years experience and expertise in the construction industry, to an established or growing company, whose goal is to add a new team member with my qualifications for a Mechanical Supt / PM / MEP Coordinator / Mechanical Specialist’s position.
Experience: • Have Supervised and Managed "Total Mechanical activities" for several Contracting firm's over a 26 year period. •Experience in the following systems: High-low pressure steam systems, boilers and ASME welding procedures and requirements. All methods of hot water heating. Chillers and Cooling towers, High pressure Breathing Air, Natural gas and compressed air systems. Rainwater collections re-use systems on industrial scale. Heavy rigging and placement of equipment. • Have thorough understanding of the use of the specifications, contract drawings and all design data and submittal data, to determine construction requirements. (*Plan your work, work your plan*) • Assigned work to employees, provided material, contract drawings or drawn isometrics drawings to craftsmen teams, and verify acknowledgement of given task from lead person's performing the work. • Trained and managed up to 40 Journeyman & Apprentices, scheduled work hours, shut downs, resolved conflicts, determined salaries, and achieved significant improvements in their productivity. • Produced and update onsite CPM scheduling for all crafts working towards commissioning and total system readiness • Recommended measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency and safety. • Recorded information, such as personnel, production and operational data, on specified forms and reports. • Assisted workers engaged in construction activities, using Cranes and Moble heavy equipment. Trained and certified workers in construction methods and operation of equipment. • Examined and inspected work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications were met. Served as Quality Control Officer-Contractors Rep while working on the projects in Hawaii, Alaska and Washington.
Supervisory Accomplishments:
Combining 30 years of experience in my profession, 26 years of which being in supervision, I have acquired a thorough working understanding of all types of mechanical / plumbing / HVAC / DDC systems and how they integrate, to become one. My employers have hired me into the lead position on what ever project I was involved with. The Military base projects were managed by myself, hiring labor from the closest labor "Union" or available work force. As Foreman/General Foreman/Superintendent, I was responsible for overall operations in the field installations and all project management associated. Was instrumental in bringing all of the projects in, on time and under budget.
