Skills:
KEY PERSONALITY TRAITS: Accepts Responsibility and Ownership - Detail Oriented - Self Motivated - Discerning - Seeks Challenges - Calculated Risk - Adaptive - Innovative - Creative - Perpetual Self Improvement – Team Player

ACCOMPLISHMENTS: PROJECT DEVELOPMENT, ENGINEERING, AND WASTE MANAGEMENT. Achieved high-mid to senior level environmental Project Development, Engineering, Scientist and Waste Management positions involving several large multi-million dollar remediation projects.

** As the Principal Project Scientist/Project Engineer, successfully performed, managed, and authored major DOE Engineering Evaluation / Cost Analysis (EECA) for a multi-million dollar radiological soil removal action. This included all engineering evaluations and all cost estimates through my own custom “live” spreadsheets. Developed and authored the selected alternative’s subsequent remedial approach, design, waste management; and the final Removal Action Plan (approved). Developed the subsequent Baseline Change Proposal. Outside independent auditors complimented the EECA’s cost estimates and Baseline Change Proposal as to their degree of detail and accuracy. Upon completion, actual costs for the removal action were within 1% of my projected $72M estimate.

** Project Manager/Engineer, Developer for the development and implementation of a $2.7 million dollar, cost effective, Small Quantity Waste Materials/Chemicals Disposition Program designed to facilitate the re-cycling or disposition / commingling of approximately 12,000 items of very small quantity maintenance chemicals and potential waste materials. These materials did not lend themselves to the site’s large-scale programs... thus leading to a potential multi-million dollar savings in waste characterization and disposal costs if processed as individual waste items.

** Project Engineer/Scientist on variety of smaller remediation and waste management projects involving extensive site characterization (including hydrogeologic), drummed waste investigation, statistical analyses (authored custom macro driven statistical program in Lotus which remained in use for several years) and extensive RCRA determinations . Geologist for UST removal and PHC remediation. Phase I and II ESAs per 1527 and 1528.

** Extensive document development, site characterization and data analysis, and report generation experience over the years.

ENVIRONMENTAL LAW AND COMPLIANCE. Extensive training and experience in environmental law and regulation. Training not only included company-sponsored seminars, but also included graduate level law, regulation, and permitting courses.

** Regulatory knowledge spans both the federal acts and the state counterparts regarding CERCLA/SARA, RCRA, NEPA, CAA, CWA/SDWA/NPDES, TSCA, EPCRA, OSHA, DOT an Oh-VAP. Excellent regulatory research capabilities.

** Regulatory Compliance, Permitting, as well as Health, and Safety have been integral to all aspects of my environmental career including various DOE production facilities (similar to conventional commercial, production, and manufacturing).

PROJECT, BUSINESS, AND QA/QC MANAGEMENT - Amassed significant experience and training in various aspects of Project, Business Management, and Business Ownership. Held previous management and ownership positions in both the Environmental and Agricultural industries. Experience, expertise, and education in TQM and Managerial Accounting.

** Created and Developed full project QA/QC management program and plan, and subsequently followed with its implementation, management, and execution on a large multi-million dollar (43-acre) soil remediation/earthwork project. All QA/QC was outside the Project Superintendent’s control and reported directly to line management. Performed outside independent QA/QC on multi-million dollar (23-acre) geo-synthetic capping project.

** Familiar with ISO 9000 and 14000 series guidance and requirements.
