• Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the Attorney General, DC, I have successfully represented hundreds of cases on behalf of thousands of parents and children in the area of family law in the District of Columbia.
• Special Counsel for Management in the Office of the Corporation Counsel, we identified grant monies totaling over $900,000; developed five-year citywide Lexis-Nexis legal research database agreement for 24 District agencies including OAG, with tremendous savings achieved; assisted in the completion of the OCC Reengineering Survey; and the successful planning and implementation of two OCC leadership retreats. As training director, we implemented the most comprehensive, innovative and broad-reaching training objectives the Office had ever undertaken.
• Legislative counsel for numerous clients: instrumental in drafting public policy priorities, developed prospective policy initiatives with federal, state and local legislative bodies and governmental officials; wrote policy briefs; drafted and presented organizational positions, supervised policy staff in the implementation of organizational strategy, initiated aggressive and innovative communications with various legislative members to pass legislation; briefed numerous constituencies and public interest groups, and helped coordinate successful media relations.
• Counsel to over twenty local and national organizations. Successfully established policy goals and internal structures necessary to implement organizational mission statements and strategic vision, ensuring that organizational policies and programs were implemented, positive results were achieved.
