• I was administrator of the clinical part of the MD office. It was my job to keep up with all labs that were done in house. To keep logs on daily controls, keep up with all ordering and inventory for the clinical aspects of the office. I was manager over 4 other medical assistants, my duties included going in with the dr., drawing blood, doing bone densities, x- rays, and signing off on all charts. calling patients with there lab results and making changes in meds as he prescribed, calling pharmacies with changes, getting prior approval for meds that needed it, teaching patients about new meds and training new diabetics about diet and exercise, about meds and how to use glucometer, and the reasons why they needed regular check-ups for eyes and feet. Keeping CLIA license in compliance. doing all maintenance on our in machines examples CBC machine, glucometers, a1cs, cholesterol, PTs, urinalysis, drug screens, x-rays making sure all who worked for me were safe and had there TB injections, hep B, Hippa compliance. filing in when someone was out or needed time off. worked closely with front office, did physicals for prison applicants, assisted with casting, injections and all other duties associated with the medical office. I really loved this job.

• I was working at both personal care homes I was the med nurse for both places. I would package meds for all residents in individual packets for breakfast, lunch, supper and bedtime. Kept up with all MD appointments, make changes on med sheets, check vital on all residents at least once a week. Did dressing changes as needed. Made appointments for residents as needed. was on call 24-7 for both places.
