Objective: I an seeking a rewarding experience in the education field where I can provide growth and contribute to the development of our youth.
Experience: I was an employee of Alion Science and Technology Corporation (Alion) as a Technical Administrative Supervisor. Alion purchased the Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute (IITRI) Annapolis research center in December 2002 offering me a position with their organization comparable to the position I held with IITRI. At IITRI, I held the position of Technical Facility & Security Supervisor. Before joining IITRI, I had more than 18 years of sales and marketing experience. In both present and prior positions held, I dealt directly with the public showing a great deal of initiative, while performing well under pressure.
As an Adjunct Professor with Sojourner-Douglass College my teaching responsibilities were in the Business Department. I was assigned to their satellite Annapolis Southern Maryland Campus, which included both the Annapolis and Calvert County Campus’. I have instructed the following courses: Introduction to Computers, Business Ethics, Sociology of Work, History, Elements of Supervision, Business Ethics, Marketing, and Introduction to Business. I brought to this position superior research and excellent oratory skills, tremendous organization and leadership abilities. In the position of Night Supervisor at the Calvert County Campus, I coordinate administrative activities, facility oversight, and facility support to include computer lab tutoring. I have excellent computer skills. I am proficient in the use of computers to include email, Internet, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
