Having served as an Administrative Secretary to two Presidential Appointees of the Treasury Department; my experience in the day-to-day operation of an executive office has been substantial:

Effectively communicated to executive staff and others on a day-to-day basis when crucial information was needed to facilitate and coordinate the efforts of individuals and/or committees.

Composed memos, letters and reports for the Director’s signature.

Responded to requests from the public for information on organizational operations in oral or written form, based on my knowledge of the Agency’s operation.

As Training Coordinator helped motivate co-workers toward greater achievement, by providing them with accurate and current information regarding courses and programs of study. Culminating with a generated report to track training course activities.

Efficiently helped EEO investigators to coordinate interviews with Agency staff.

Planned and coordinated the “Departing Ceremony” for then Director James E. Gilleran. Maintained a large invitation list consisting of private sector and various government agencies. This also included reserving an amphitheater, procuring the caterer, arranging for audio facilities and making sure extra security was for the function.

Served on the committee to organize guest speakers and refreshments for Black History, Pacific Asian, and Native American History functions. Made arrangements for professional “sign-language” interpreters for the hearing impaired staff; per government protocol.

Scheduled inter-agency conference calls, conferences and meetings by securing conference rooms, speaker phones, proper materials and ordered refreshments as requested. Attendees often included heads of the FDIC, Federal Reserve Board, and the Federal Trade Commission.
