Taking direction from and assisted mechanical engineers. I also created in PROe Wildfire 3.0, 3D models and associated drawings as directed. Cherry Electric Products Nov. 14, 2006 – Jan. 19, 2007 Mechanical Design Contractor Design plastic and sheet metal electrical components for snap-action, rocker, and toggle, rotating switches and magnetic sensors and circuit boards for the automotive industry in a R&D atmosphere. Approximately 60% conceptual/engineering work and 40% design work using PROe Wildfire 2.0 and Intralink to maintain files and project. Requesting sample SLA parts to be made and formatting of STL files, GD&T and BOM, standard MS Office and typical office equipment. Motorola Mar. 13, 2006 – Sept. 29, 2006 Mechanical Contractor Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, electronic enclosures, shelving, EIA Standards and other mechanically functioning equipment. My main roles are to support mechanical part designs (mainly sheet metal and cables), and to work with suppliers on the design and specifications for 3rd party equipment. I also perform Telecommunication related mechanical design, Mechanical design, Six Sigma methodology, ECO’s and ECN’s while using Pro/ENGINEER (Wildfire3.0) and INTRALINK, ordering of samples, purchasing and release of drawings. DRS Technologies Feb. 16, 2005 – Mar. 03, 2006 Mechanical Modeler/Drafter Create and support detail drawings and 3d models for various, DOD programs which included Enhanced Range Application Program (ENRAP) and Electronic Warfare Italy Training Radar (EWITR) for training programs internationally (specifically Italy) and LHD8 for shipboard power transition from nuclear to AC, BOM’s using PRO/e Wildfire 2.0, Intralink and PLM. Additional Information: ACHIEVEMENTS:
2001/2002: I successfully spearheaded a program for Parametric Technologies Corp.
(PTC) involving state approval and grants for a retraining program for unemployed
engineers. Retraining consists of educational benefits through the state of Illinois.
It took over a year of interfacing with PTC and IDES to help enrich a program that
could be useful to any engineer who is unemployed. It is currently titled under the
Workforce Investment Act; the website is “www.ilworkforce.org/index1.htm ". My
determination and persistence has finally paid off to stay consistent with
advancements in technology and software, and allow my skills to be more marketable as
an engineer re-entering the workforce.
In 1995, I was promoted into a lower management position at Lucent Technologies and 10
years of perfect attendance.
September 1979 to May 1990 I was hired as an instructor for the TOOLING &
MANUFACTURING ASSOCIATION and TRITON COLLEGE teaching basic and advanced Mold Making,
shop trigonometry: Mold Making related theory, blueprint reading and basic drafting.
I participated on the QWL Team (Quality Work Life) which sought out new technology and
equipment. Speak and understand some Japanese.
