An active participant of a 3 week training program in Winnipeg, Canada
on the processing techniques of Pultruding fiberglass components.
Utilizing the acquired skills, assisted a Division start up by training selected individuals on the fundementals of processing raw fiberglass materials using Pultrusion Machinery. Preform required standardized Quality Assurance spot checks on all pultruded products.
Received training in the use of Industrial Vaccuum-Coating Paint machinery and Industrial Painting applications. Perform required standardized Quality Assurance spot checks on all painted products.
Supervise a 12-hour night shift crew of 13 employees, 5 Pultrusion Machines and a PaintLine.
Assisted in the development and/or implementation of Machine Parameter Documents, Division Safety Regulations, Spill Response Guidelines, Spill Response Teams, Pultrusion Machine Processing Procedures,Product Packaging Guidelines, Die Cleaning Procedures, and Monthly Incentive Program

Perform machine start-ups and mold sampling as required, submitting controlled samples to the Q.A. Inspector for approval before releasing the machine to production.
Ensured operators produced end products that conformed to quality assurance standards outlined by QA management.
Reviewed the hourly production graph charts generated by the operator,adjusting machine processes to meet cycle times and reduce product scrap.
Perform minor mold and machine repairs as needed, communicating with the tool room and maintenance technicians about repairs that were made and producing work orders for major repairs that required their attention.
Determine if production quantities have been met and shutdown the machine as outlined in the Shutdown Procedure Manual.
Knowledgeable about the installation and removal of molds and their relevant componants.
Familiar with operation and troubleshooting of Aurburg, Cincinnati, Engle, Nessei, Husky and VanDorne brand name machinery.
Familiar with a variety of plastic resins such as ABS, HDPE, LDPE, Butyrate, Nylon, Urethane, Acrylic, Rubber, Acetyl and Vinyl.
Provided a wide variety of training to individuals on operating, setup and process procedures.
Experienced in shipping, receiving and warehousing of components and finished products,including physical count inventories.
