Additional Information:
OUTSIDE OF ELECTRONICS INDUSTRY JOB EXPERIENCE
During the last several years, outside of the one year contract position I accepted with Orion Network Systems (1997-1998), I have been involved in creating a service business with my wife. Through hard work and diligence, we have proudly built that business into a small S-Corporation employing 13 people. In April of 2003, we sold the business to a competitor. After almost 20 years in electronics, going into the type of service business we had, seed at first like there would be few career gains relative to my prior experience. However, I quickly found that the supervisory functions and logistic issues were similar. It really did not matter whether one is responsible for communications networks or the clients within our service business. The bottom line remained the same, correct problems as they arise in a reasonable time frame and ensure that the same issue is not revisited multiple times. Be an honest and good communicator with clients as well as coworkers and keep excellent documentation on any issues that arise. These things are truly keys to success in any form of employment. I hope that this insight as to what I have been doing for the last several years or so is acceptable and I truly appreciate the opportunity to be considered for a position within your company.
