Recruiter as an Independent Contractor in 2005 for several organizations including Listen Technologies and Staywell Interactive.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE:
•Event planning: Coordinated (in a timely and efficient manner) and occasionally staff industry tradeshows at various venues around the country. This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities: shipping the booth, hiring I/D labor, coordinating rentals, distributing literature and promotional items, overseeing hotel reservations, and coordinating conference registrations.

•Desktop publishing: Edited and designed marketing collateral materials, including brochures, flyers, scientific posters, and advertisements. Coordinated the production of printed materials with designers and outside printers, when necessary.

•Media planning/public relations: Responsible to oversee and/or participate in portions of the company’s media relations program, including: maintaining a current list of media contacts; developing an archive of industry publications, editorial calendars, and print specifications; maintaining excellent relationships with the media; and tracking media pick ups of any press releases distributed by the company or their partners.
•Competitive archives: Collected and scanned examples of our competitor’s marketing communications for analysis and review.
•Lead generation: Reviewed news clippings, websites, and industry publications on a daily basis to determine which pharmaceutical and biotech companies have an active pipeline and, if so, who the proper follow-up contact would be. This information will then be inserted into their corporate sales database and various CRMs including Salesforce.com as an action item.
•Market news: Kept abreast of relevant news in the market and communicated to appropriate personnel.

Recruited in 2003 to underwrite procedures for new and existing Workplace business. I participated in the overall corporate financial goals by applying appropriate pricing methodologies.
