Maintenance Machine Superintendent (contract) in Paperboard Mill in California. Responsible for Paper machine and converting areas.

RPM Technologies Inc (Reason for leaving: Company Downsized & Reorganized) 1/04-10/04
Project Engineer supplying poly and ceramic products to pulp and paper mills and non-woven industries. Workings with mill personnel develop a plan to improve operation and reducing cost- continuous improvement to the process. Territory included a nine state area.

GL&V USA- Southwest Region (Reason for leaving: Company Downsized & Reorganized) 2/01-6/03
Sales Project Manager for regional sales of pulp and paper equipment. Reviewing mill operation for improvement to operation and safety procedures. Equipment and Safety audits were conducted along with training seminars. Territory included a six state area. An annual sale of $2.5MM aftermarket was achieved each year. Actively manage the paper machine maintenance budget to help the operating personnel deliver the business goals. Have shared responsibility for 8 converting winders with 3 wrapping lines. This involved many of the same duties as maintaining the paper machine.

Project Engineer - Responsibilities varied on each project. Was involved as a process design engineer, project engineer handling design and installation of a portion of a major project, and as a project manager which encompassed coordinating all design, managing budgets, scheduling, construction and start-up.
Major Projects:
Boise Cascade - Fort Francis, Ontario. Rebuilt #7 Newsprint Machine. Installed a Bel Baie III twin wire former, Tri-nip press section, and complete new Reliance Digital Drive System
Appleton Papers - West Carrollton, OH. Converted a 191” paper machine from uncoated free sheet to NCR based coated sheet and installed a Billblade Coater. Also, re-started a 230” paper machine that was idle for two years installing new equipment to produce NCR base coated paper.
Boise Southern - Deridder, LA. Involved in engineering study to close up white water system on both newsprint paper machines resulting in a 1000 GPM reduction in fresh water usage. Made engineering recommendation for steambox resulting in 1.5% dryer sheet going into dryer section and a 300 FPM speed increase.
Boise Cascade - International Falls, MN. Engineer design study for a fine paper machine. Weyerhaeuser Company - Columbus, MS. Engineered and designed a new lightweight coated paper mill.

CHAMPION INTERNATIONAL - Pasadena, TX (Reason for leaving: Recruited by CRS Sirrine) 6/71-11/77
Paper Machine Superintendent - 1975 -1977 - Responsibilities for both a 450 TPD pulp dryer and 300 TPD lightweight-coated machine
Paper Machine Section Manager - 1973- 1975 - Responsible for a coated machine operation which included a 248” base coated paper machine, off-machine blade coater, two super calendars and a 220” winder.
