Objective:
Work with the design team in producing and distributing individual bid packages.

Counsel the client in the selection of a successful bidder for each package.

Negotiate with subcontractors on bid packages that have no acceptable bids.

 Directed a $5M Class “B” network upgrade project for an international petroleum company. Work included construction of 25 communications closets, the installation of approximately 75 Cisco devices and 20 Xyplex terminal servers, and the completion of extensive fiber and cabling upgrades. Transitioned 900 desktop devices onto the new network with negligible operational impact.
 Managed relocation of an island-wide, Minimum Point of Entry (MPOE) for the Bermuda government network that included over 350 mission critical Wide Area Network (WAN) circuits. Careful circuit analysis and consolidation resulted in annual savings in excess of $100K per year.
IBM CORPORATION 1999 – 2000
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – IBM GLOBAL SERVICES
Designed, built and managed the IBM Global Services Center of Competency (CoC). Supervised the infrastructure and development teams in building prototypes for enterprise customers and a development environment for emerging technologies. Further duties included product planning, life-cycle management for Cisco/Windows systems, network management applications, and internetwork troubleshooting.
 Designed the CoC network environment with a $1M technical budget. Hardware inventory included: Cisco 7000/4000/2500 routers, Catalyst 5000/3900/1900 switches, VPN concentrators, TR Inter-Switch Links, Netfinity 8500/5000. R/S 6000, AS/400, S/390, Windows 2000 clusters, and SAN Storage Arrays. Software inventory included: CiscoWorks, NetSys Baseliner, NetIQ AppAnalyzer, and FastLane DM Migrator.
 Lectured to regional Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, and Sales teams on the migration workflow processes for Microsoft Active Directory and Cisco Ethernet upgrades/transitions.
MICROSOFT CORPORATION 1997 – 1999
SENIOR CONSULTANT - INFRASTRUCTURE
Designed, implemented, and delivered large-scale client/server solutions for strategic enterprise accounts in excess of 5000 seats, focusing on Windows NT 4.0, Internet information Server, Proxy Server, and Systems Management Server.  Assisted a large insurance provider in Hartford build an advanced desktop delivery system for 30,000 seats. Engagement tasks included the evaluation of WAN circuits, LAN backbone bandwidth, desktop standards, as well as, overall network compatibility with existing mission-critical point-of-service (POS) applications.
 Led an eight-member team in re-designing and deploying a campus wide network for a large college in Boston. Work entailed router/switch aggregation, client/server upgrades, and desktop standards for 17,000 seats. Completed the project two months ahead of schedule by streamlining the repeatable build process developed during the pilot.
COMPUTER SCIENCES CORPORATION 1995 – 1997
SYSTEMS INTEGRATION CONSULTANT
Installed, configured, and troubleshot infrastructure networks for CSC’s customer base. Duties included, switch/router configuration, Windows networking implementation, client/server network optimization, and solving hardware/software interface problems.
 Upgraded a 14,000 seat U.S. Marine amphibious base with Modems, DSU/CSU MUX units, and channel banks. In addition to, protocol problem analysis and bandwidth utilization with sniffers, cable testers, and tdr’s for network performance tuning and optimization.
 Analyzed and implemented a new VLAN architecture for a mid-West Insurance Company with 27,000 seats. Efforts included division of servers and workstations by building location and OS type – OS/2 and NT 3.51, as well as, segmentation for the DMZ and server farm.

GROSS CONSTRUCTION 1991 – 1995
SUPERINTENDENT
Supervised foreman and sub-contractors planning, facilitating and constructing residential homes and apartment complexes for the family owned and operated business.
 Assistant Project engineer for the renovation and new construction of various small hospital projects, and superintendent for Comfort Inns, San Bernardino, CA.
 Foreman for the construction of a 24-unit apartment complex in Riverside, CA.
