& Bus and Milwaukee Engineering prior to GMT420 truck frame

program timing and production requirements for production
launches, and monitored major competitors' activities.

* Improved profitability, quality, and support for L Van
Front Frame Assembly manufacturing operation by
developing/implementing quarterly communications meetings
to review all facets of program (engineering, production
control, quality, etc.).


MCDONNELL DOUGLAS CORPORATION - St. Louis, MO

LEAD ENGINEER, DESIGN (1989 - 1990)

As key member of Structural Design Team, maintained
responsibility for preliminary design, coordination, and
interface of all structural components for forward center
fuselage for design/build proposal for Navy Advanced
Tactical Fighter.

* Facilitated cost reductions, helped evaluate multiple
composite/composite joints, and improved manufacturability
by designing (on very limited budget) Manufacturing
Feasibility Demonstrator.


SENIOR ENGINEER, DESIGN (1985 - 1989)

In charge of final design, coordination, and interface of
Forward Center Fuselage outer skin assemblies for ATF
(Advanced Tactical Fighter) structures and ensured skins
designed/produced to proper specifications for design/build
competition to produce 2 flying prototypes for eventual fly-
off prior to final contract award.

* Developed design models used to establish structural
requirements and system interfaces.

* Worked with Strength Engineers to ensure final designs
met strength and load requirements.

* Oversaw 4 engineers to complete final production
drawings.


ENGINEER, DESIGN (1981 - 1985)

Developed, designed, and tested field repair techniques
for AV-8B composite components. Authored bi-monthly reports
for Marines providing status/results of designs/tests.
Designed structural composite components under leadership
of Senior and Lead Engineers and incorporated design
changes on production drawings for composite components.

* Designed concept feasibility prototype of AV-8B's
forward cold nozzles as key member of project to push
composite design envelope.

* Reviewed structural problems after each flight
providing engineering resolution and sign-off on repairs
during flight testing of AV-8B and F-18 pre-production
aircraft at military bases.
