Experience: 1/2006 - 5/2006 Avionics Bench Technician United States Navy Corpus Christi/Texas Troubleshoot radio, tactical navigation and IFF systems using electrical bench test equipment. Perform proper maintenance on malfunctioned equipment and return status to fully operational. Read and understand wire diagrams, blueprints and manual procedures. Micro-miniature soldering Perform daily, monthly and annually bench equipment checks in accordance with proper manuals. Knowledgeable in electro-static discharge safety. 11/1999 - 12/2005 Aviation Electronics Technician NAS Whidbey Island Oak Harbor/Washington Maintains and repairs electronic communications systems and inflight navigation and detection systems on aircraft. Bench tests components of and maintains radar systems, communications equipment, and navigation devices. Troubleshoots and repairs aircraft transmitters, receivers, transmission lines, antennas, wiring and eletrical systems. Operation checks tactical jamming systems, high-speed anti-radiation missiles, and tactical EA-6B mission support systems. Reads schematics and block diagrams Uses volt-ohm-milliammeter, frequency counters, and specialized system test equipment Completes maintenance forms and inventories parts and supplies Maintains technical library. Performs avionics corrosion control. Briefs and debriefs flight crews and conducts daily computer-assisted preflight inspection to determine status of equipment.
