Maintenance Manager
·Direct all Maintenance / Facilities operations for Multi-Wall Packaging and Reel Real Manufacturing Corporation.
·Directed implementation and installation of computerized maintenance management systems. Including work order completion, work order request, asset management, maintenance spare parts inventory and automated spare parts purchasing system.
·Current staffing involves 7 direct report maintenance mechanics.
·Direct fabrication group in developing and building custom equipment for NC and VA plants.
·Designed and directed fabrication and installation of automated band saw operation to eliminate need for operators to place hands next to saw blade. Also reduced staffing from 2 to 1 operator on both shifts while maintaining the same production levels. System being copied by one VA plant.
·Designed and directed fabrication and installation of automated partial saw punch operation for all former lines. System being copied at 2 other plants.
·Directed refurbishment project on 12 machines for installation in a new plant being started in Gary IN.

·Directed the startup operations for the transfer of product assembly from Sweden to Charlotte for all American and Canadian customers. The initial team consisted of 9 employees, a QC engineer and myself. We developed this into a production team of 73 employees plus a support staff of 8.
·Product volume increased from 240 units per day to 1600 units per day on the chain saw assembly line and 240 units per day to 1400 units per day in the trimmer assembly area.
·Complete P/L responsibility for local assembly operations. All new assembly operations are exceeding production standards and profit projections in less than 3 months. 2004 positive cost variance of $503,000 was accomplished by our team.
·Direct all activities for the Production Planning, Inventory Control and Manufacturing Engineering processes and associates.
·Lead startup operations in the introduction of products for 2 new retail outlets.
·Improved units per man-hour from 2.3 units / man-hour to 10.4 units / man-hour (12 month running average). 2004 departmental efficiency averaging 117%.
