Project/Practice Management

Created and executed project work plans and revised plans as appropriate to meet


changing needs and requirements. Identified resources needed and assigned
individual responsibilities. I supervised 23 IT Professionals and oversaw a budget
of over $325,000.00. I managed day to day operational aspects of a project and
scope while reviewing deliverables prepared by the team before forwarding to the
client. I effectively applied methodology and enforced project standards I
prepared for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures and
minimized the company’s exposure and risk on a project. Project documentation
was completed, kept current and maintained appropriately.

Project Accounting

For accounting purposes team hours and expenses were tracked and reported on a weekly basis while managing project budget. I determined appropriate revenue recognition, ensured timely and accurate invoicing and monitored receivables for project. Client follow-ups were performed when necessary on unpaid invoices. Analyzation of project profitability, revenue margins, bill rates, and utilization were performed. I was responsibility of hiring and terminating new/temp employees on an as needed basis. Ensured projects were completed within a specified timeframe.

In the capacity of a consultant I was responsible for conducting incident responses and/or acting as system or network administrator of medium to large networks. I applied my knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques, while conducting studies and analyzing network event streams including quantitative and visual approaches. I provided user and implementation level experience with all of the following technologies: IDS (e.g., Snort, RealSecure), IPS, SIM/SEM (e.g., ArcSight, eSecurity), network mapping, vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus), firewalls, and routers (Cisco). On daily basis I provided analytical studies and investigations, including quantitative data analysis and performed monthly or on an as needed basis Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) scans. I configured/updated Local REM and Retina servers and recognized and dealt appropriately with confidential and sensitive information. I was responsible for providing policy development and process implementation in reference to protection of customer environments and reviewed existing policies and up dating them as appropriate. All of the above tasks were implemented professionally calmly and under pressure while performing within the timeframe allotted for completion.

Symantec Antivirus enterprise solution, creating Microsoft Systems Management

Server 2.0 rollout for ITA, served as technical lead and provided training for 4
technicians. Currently provides oversight for 3 programs and supervises 5
technicians. Provides technical expertise while serving as lead for 6 member
team responsible for recommendations to the Office of the CIO and
implementing and enterprise solution for Spyware Adware. Ensures timely and

System Analyst February 2001 – February 2002

Provided technical lead and guidance as Network Administrator for Windows
2000 rollout/migration, technical lead for analyzing and validating requirements
throughout OIO and ODO for acquiring new hardware (i.e. servers, workstations,
cabling, etc.), technical lead for testing, implementing, maintaining and
recommending Enterprise Antirvirus solutions. Supervised and trained 4
Microsoft Certified Technicians.

System Analyst January 2000 – February 2001

Provided technical Architect guidance to the Department of Commerce on several
sensitive projects regarding policy and technology. Served as lead hardware
engineer providing ITA with assessment of all client workstations and servers for
FCS (foreign and domestic) and provided recommendations to the Office of the
CIO. Provided technical leadership and guidance by designing and implementing
various programs.

System Analyst August 1999 – December 1999

Lead hardware technician assigned to the Department of Commerce contract.
Provided direct/indirect (via phone for OIO) desktop technical support for over
700 users in supporting the agency’s mission. Served as lead technical support
for hardware upgrade for all OIO standalone users.
