• Achieved GM Supplier of the Year Award for turn around of a troubled family of products by applying statistical methodology, tooling modifications, process insights, and in depth training
• Successfully started 2 new facilities, one from the ground up
• Led successful automation projects for insert molding utilizing synchronous molding machines, progressive dies, vision, and multiple classes of robots.
Manufacturing Operations
• Trained hourly employees to “take over” very complex automated systems
• Managed manufacturing during production of the first thinwall cell phones, (StarTac), and assisted in installing Motorola’s 6 sigma methodology
• Initiated PM programs that improved up time 60%
• Specified molding machine and automations to meet targeted process capabilities
