- Develop MFG training program as well as lead and coach NPI Training team.
- Write process and equipment specifications, training checklists, and exams associated with test and warehouse practices.
- Develop course material and operator training curriculum to drive for heightened performance, motivation, and quality.
- Identify training gaps through analysis of patterned operator errors vs. isolated mistakes to determine additional training needs and analyze effectiveness of program.
- Perform gap analysis of operator competencies and cross-functional skills to ensure production coverage and improve production efficiency.
- Interface with test management and engineering to resolve audit delinquencies and training issues.
- Generate and maintain training records that illustrate individual qualification levels.
- Survey effectiveness of training program and drive improvement initiatives.
- Gate specification releases world-wide to avoid site-to-site duplicates and non-value procedures.
- Validate alignment between documentation and actual test practice to reduce audit non-conformities.
- Audit operations and suppliers to ensure internal SOP and standards compliance.
- Develop preparation tools for production and test engineering to ensure successful audit results.
- Interface with auditors for ISO9000/2000, ISO14001, TL9000, TS16949 and QMS.
- Establish and maintain performance score card that develop direct reports for optimal performance.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
- Pioneered training methodology that qualified 100+ NPI operators on over 70 different competencies using a “blanket” certification process. Program resulted in crossfunctionally training 90% of NPI workforce allowing operators to work between Test, Warehouse, and Quality Control. Program was later adopted and standardized as a global process across all production sites.
- Decreased training non-conformities from 43 to zero. Maintained zero audit discrepancies for six consecutive years by implementing quarterly training assessments that gauged the effectiveness of the program and identified error trends. Results of analysis were used to hone in on high risk/high frequency issues and alleviate their impact. Training program was later noted by surveillance auditors as being a “model program to be replicated by all sites.”
- Developed internal courses for operators and techs to increase quality awareness, improve performance, and promote motivation. Courses are as follows: How to be an Effective Trainer, ESD Prevention, FMEA & Control Plan Overview, Visual Mechanical Inspection Procedures, How to Write a Specification, and Proper Product Handling.
- Created internal Document Change Awareness system to ensure spec revisions impacting production were propagated effectively where stakeholders were held accountable for carrying out and adhering to changes.
- Initiated Spec Discrepancy system improving overall integrity of test specifications. Operators were empowered to identify specs changes pertaining to incorrect test programs, out dated procedures, and procedures lacking formal documentation.
- Developed Employee Performance Score Card capitalizing on individual strengths and targeting problem areas for improvement which was later used as a tool to manage overall team development and raise profiles.
