GENERAL MANAGER, HOME HEALTH DIVISION

Hold full authority over daily operations for the Dayton
office including activities of an internal staff of 10,
250+ external staff and over 175 clients/patients.
Functionally responsible for sales, marketing, new business
development, budgeting/cost control, client relationship
building and relationships with case management companies,
referral sources, physicians, insurance organizations and
provider relations. Responsible for building/maintaining
close relationships with numerous Federal and State
agencies as well as area hospitals, long-term care
facilities, home health and staffing companies. Oversee
implementation of all policies/procedures, Medicare
guidelines and Joint Commission on the Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations. Between 2000 and 2004, was fully
responsible for sales / operations for both Medical
Staffing division as well as Home Healthcare division
before splitting divisions into two separately operating
entities. Successfully developed Healthcare Recruiters for
promotion to General Managers

Selected Accomplishments

* Instrumental in turning around financial performance of
organization shortly after assuming position, delivering
increases each year despite major operational changes.
Reversed net profit loss and achieved $2.18M in revenue by
year end 2002 and $4.5M by year end 2006.

* Achieved growth by diversifying referral sources and
significantly expanding coverage area. Increased business
with the only payer source (Medicaid) to several including
Medicare, MR/DD, Area Agency on Aging, Workers'
Compensation and numerous insurance companies.

* Driving force behind positioning Maxim as leading
medical staffing company in Dayton by landing contracts
with all hospitals in area before personally negotiating
and landing contract ($10M+) with Premier Health Partners,
the largest hospital system in the Dayton Area (prior to
assuming position, Maxim had been denied negotiations with
them).

* Improved A/R results, particularly with Medicaid ($60M
program) after they implemented numerous changes in codes
and billing. Served on committee to implement process
improvements including development of more specialized
billing process specifically for Medicaid programs.

* Identified need for and gained management buy-in to
split Facility Staffing and Home Healthcare into two
distinct businesses to maximize results of both divisions;
this was as a direct result from growth delivered on
staffing side as well as home health side as General
Manager of both divisions.

* Sustain high levels of productivity, morale and overall
performance while minimizing turnover by routinely
fostering environment of positive thinking, and
implementing incentives to help offset the stresses
frequently experienced in the industry.

* Attained direct labor rate of approximately 56% vs.
state average of 60% through combination of business
diversification and negotiating favorable billing rates.

* Played key role in two JCAHO surveys and multiple State
and Medicare surveys.


SENIOR HEALTHCARE RECRUITER (2000 to 2002)

Charged with maintaining existing and building new
business with healthcare industry accounts. Scope of
responsibility was diverse and included extensive
relationship building and marketing efforts to recruit
qualified nurses according to account/client needs.
Conducted comprehensive interviews with nursing
professionals to determine best fit including location
(nursing home, hospital, homecare), skill levels,
certifications and area(s) of expertise, compiling and
maintaining all information in database. Remained "on call"
and maintained contact with workers/accounts to ensure that
accounts were being appropriately serviced according to
contract. Additionally responsible for assisting General
Manager with daily office operations.

Selected Accomplishments

* Spearheaded major recruiting initiative within two
months of joining organization, outlining entire plan,
growth projections and daily targets.

* Successfully coordinated recruiting activities of over
200 field staff and increased weekly billing from $55K to
$75K within one year.

* Led all activities related to three-month long flu shot
program; managed staffing and supplies for over 300 flu
shot clinics which generated $300K in revenue for Columbus
office. Ensured necessary supplies were available at each
clinic and personally engaged each clinic contact including
rate negotiations and agreements.
