Objective: I have 20+ years experience coding and teaching coding. I am looking for a position that would involve coding from home, but I would consider traveling.
Experience: Instructor/ Medical Billing Consultant Coding, Consulting & Credentialing in Washington, MO (Present employment) • Became a licensed instructor for the American Academy of Professional Coder's, Professinal Medical Coding Curriculum. During this time I have taught at least 3 sessions of classes a year. Ihave also taking job during this time for consulting work. I received an accomadation from the the United States Army for participation in a project for the first Gulf War.

Working as a coder and consultant to give advise on billing and collections and the correct processing of accounts receivbles.
Office Manager Four Rivers OB/GYN in Washington, MO June 1989 to April 1996 • Performed all aspects of Office Manager including; assist with billing as needed, coded surgeries and procedures, ordered supplies, precertified surgeries, collect deliquent accounts, establish pre-payment plans for pregnancies and deliveries, credentialing for 3 physicians and supervised employees. When I began there was one physician and one nurse and myself. When I left there were 3 physicians and 9 other employees. It was also during this time period that I became a Certified Professional Coder(CPC).
