Objective: Please accept this resume for consideration for the position you are currently hiring for.
With the recent birth of my third child, I am a new stay at home mom who is looking for work to supplement my income. Prior to being a stay at home mother, I worked full time for Bank of America as an Account Manager. In this position, I was responsible for handling a high volume of outgoing phone calls in an attempt to bring cardholder’s accounts up to date. Additionally, it was my responsibility to educate our customers on the status of their account along with any potential Bank of America hardship programs that could assist the cardholder in bringing their account current while not putting an additional financial burden on the customer. Providing superior customer service along with effective time management were key components in reaching both individual and departmental goals.
Previously I was employed by the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley and held the position of Member Service Center Supervisor. Accounts Payable and Lead Trainer. My main responsibilities for Accounts Receivable were customer service, maintaining and researching the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of all data in the database system, as well as, ACH drafting and collecting over $500,000 a month in membership dues for 5 local YMCA branches. Additionally, my main responsibilities for Accounts Payable and Finance were general ledger posting, making journal entries, analyzing variances in customer account balances, and researching and verifying statistical data. I was also responsible for maintaining accurate membership, program, childcare and financial records, as well as membership invoicing. I developed and implemented training manuals and courses for 4 different departments throughout the Association and was the lead trainer for the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley. Additionally, I am responsible for working closely with the IT Department to assist with software troubleshooting and software system updates.
Prior to the YMCA, I worked for Cigna Healthcare as a Medical Coder. I am currently working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management/ Accounting, with my degree expected in December, 2007. I am a perfectionist who is effectively able to multi-task, trouble shoot, and perform exceptionally well under tight deadlines. I am a hard working, dedicated and loyal team player who is eager to learn. I am motivated by challenges, problems and success. I have strong leadership qualities and am able to work well as a team or individually. I am dedicated to providing superior service in order to exceed company expectations.
I believe that I am an excellent candidate for the position you are currently hiring for. With my background in database management, customer service and my current education in the accounting field, I believe that my unique skills will promote your company’s continued growth and success. I would greatly appreciate the chance to meet with you to further discuss this position and my qualifications.
