The duty of the materiel specialist ensures parts and required materials are available on a timely basis to support the aircraft fleet operations. This team procures, maintains inventory, distributes, processes component repairs, and pursues compensation for warranty items. In addition, shipping and receiving of (HazMat and Non-HazMat) processing of Maintenance requests, issuing of tooling and materials, movement of Comat within and outside the jetBlue system, facilitating inventory audits, and maintaining stock levels for several stations.
