Responsible for managing projects as assigned. Particularly projects related to government change orders. Serve as primary liaison between Humana and top military officials for the start up, implementation and maintenance of the Tricare health care contract for Region 2. Served as Lead DBA for a team of 16. Recognized as the company’s outstanding employee (2001) largely for having developed an application (SQL/Access) that resulted in a 45-day increase in invoice processing time. Overall savings to the company and Federal government. Responsible for the delivery, storage, and analysis of all contractually required reports and data files. Utilized Visual Basic to enhance user’s access to on-line reporting applications. Served as Project Manager for implementation and maintenance of the EMC Calriion SAN (CX300) storage network. Worked closely with the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) to create analytical reports specific to the entire region. Maintained all computer equipment at the TRICARE Military Treatment Facility (MTF) to include data and telecom (routers, hubs, T-1 lines, etc.). Designed, developed and administered the physical architecture and structure of the data warehouse and relational databases according to the technical and business plan. Coordinated data from seven different platforms (80Gb servers) which involved multidimensional analysis of enterprise data and provided the ability for complex calculations, trend analysis and very sophisticated data modeling. OLTP/OLAP enabled end-users to perform ad hoc analysis of data in multiple dimensions, thereby providing the insight and understanding they need for better decision making. Provides high level technical expertise to assist in the conversion of business problems into solutions with access to SQL database using intelligent front-end software packages. Supports end users with training, network maintenance, re-engineering business processes, evaluating and implementing new technologies, PC setups, new computer setup and installation, software upgrades and installations, analysis and resolution of complex hardware and software problems. Responsibilities include user administration, server security and sharing. Provides server design, implementation, creation, monitoring and maintenance of SQL, DB2 and Oracle 9 databases. Responsible for creating tables, DTS, tuning, indexes, views, triggers, replication and stored procedures. Designed standards and developed testing for Y2K tasking, HIPPA compliance and Pharmacy 65 programs. Developed a report delivery client/server application (front end in Microsoft Access and back end in either Microsoft Access or Microsoft SQL, depending on site; storage area networks for larger sites) for use throughout Regions 2 and 5 for allowing easy electronic access to all reports delivered since the beginning of the contract.
