Objective:

Director of Maintenance

of aggressive company growth to direct all aspects of maintenance
operations.

* Developed and implemented numerous improvements to maintenance
operations.

* Managed a fleet of 200+ tractors, 500+ trailers, and 10 service
technicians.

* Improved the quality of the service technician team by retraining
or replacing underperforming technicians or hiring more qualified

leasing company in the U.S. to supervise all aspects of fleet
service/maintenance shift operations for the Knoxville service center.

mechanics who repaired and provided maintenance for 300 trucks at the
branch as well as any other Ryder vehicle that was in the immediate
service area.

* Served as the front-line customer service contact for all
customers and maintained the service center operations by
prioritizing and scheduling repair/maintenance jobs for the
technicians/mechanics.

* Accountable for parts inventory and parts ordering during the
shift for any repair needs.

Averitt Express, Inc., Knoxville, TN * 1997 - 2002

Regional Maintenance Leader

Initially hired with the company to direct the start-up of a new,
expanded facility that included responsibility for interviewing,
screening, hiring, and training a full staff of mechanics,
establishing procedures, and overseeing fleet maintenance facility
set-up.

* Promoted into Regional Maintenance Leader position with
accountability for all aspects of maintenance operations for four
different locations in two states.

* Directed regional operations including 21 mechanics and inventory
management accountability for over 300 pieces of power equipment and
trailers as well as $100,000 of replacement/maintenance parts.

* Built strong relationships with outside vendors for warranty
needs and maintenance outsourcing.

* Created and implemented a new tire inventory procedure that
reduced labor costs and fleet downtime.
