Andrew H DIAZ (Making a true difference in the lives and souls of others)

Thank you for the opportunity to submit my resume for the current position within your organization.

I worked directly with the Director of the San Diego YMCA on implementation and maintenance of a very successful Senior/Community Center and three emergency shelters; which were utilized by victims of spousal abuse or other personal tragedies. He and I were also responsible for obtaining additional funding sources to help offset the ever-rising costs associated with maintaining a not-for-profit facility. Recently we completed a grant application for additional funding. I have annually completed grant applications for funding from other grant sources.

I am currently a member of the San Diego Economic Dev. Corp. Canal Place Association, Beautification Committee, temporarily I was Community Outreach Director of “First Night”. I have assisted Public Hearings as well as Common Council meetings. I have been closely affiliated in my position with such organizations as the YMCA, Department of State, MVED, IDA, Canal Authority, National Heritage Corp., Mohawk Valley Heritage Corp., HCAD, EDGE, HUD, SHPO, City and State Government Officials and the Governor’s Office for Small Cities.

I believe that I can successfully fulfill the requirements associated with this position. My greatest satisfaction was derived from my interaction with the public and helping to make the less fortunate have a better quality of life as well as promoting the economic development and growth of the City of San Diego. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to interview for what I feel could be an exciting and rewarding position.

Thank you for your kind consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Andrew H Diaz
