Ocean Spray Cranberries Purchasing Manager–Non Stock Lakeview, MA 12/1998 - 3/2000 (Packaging, Capital Equipment & Energy) Manage a staff of purchasing professionals responsible for the purchase of packaging, capital equipment, and utilities with an annualized spend of $76MM in a SAP operating system for 9 plants. Led and participated in High Performance Teams with Marketing, Operations, and Engineering on packaging solutions for New Products.
• 26 new packaging designs launched on time for new product introductions, which increased sales in four categories of juice products. • Implemented a total energy and facility management program with a third-party provider that invested capital and management expertise in all aspects of the energy supply chain. This program reduced Ocean Spray’s total energy and facility management costs by more than $1.5 MM per year.
