Responsible for accounting support to various operating groups within the Dairy Group. Maintain strong and accurate accounting records and meet compliance requirements. Support and assist Controller in accomplishing the requirements as set forth by the company, ensuring that all accounting entries are timely, accurate, and comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Assist in the completion of monthly closing process and ensure all balance sheet entries are reconciled, reviewed and have all appropriate supporting documentation. Work with Controller supporting all internal/external audits in ensuring all controls are in place, any discrepancies noted are corrected or have a measurable action plan in place to correct discrepancies. Assist Controller in the preparation of the appropriate monthly, quarterly and annual closing and reporting packages. Assist in the development of an operating budget with revenue ranging from $100 Million to $300 Million. Provide direction, leadership, advice and counsel to all accounting clerks and other interested parties as needed. Perform special projects as identified and other duties as assigned required or requested by the Controller. Handle payroll for 8-12 experienced accounting employees.
