Additional Information: am a very ambitious, driven individual determined to succeed, my experience is extremely diverse providing me the edge over my competitors.
I have great people skills providing me the ability to work with a variety of people and groups, also providing me the opportunity to work in a variety settings. I have a firm belief that this is due to my involvement Sales and Marketing early in my career. I discovered early on that we all actually use these skills everyday life.
I work very well in a team environment; this setting provides all the ability to gain additional knowledge from those that surround them. While working independently provides one with the opportunity to demonstrate and prove their abilities.
I have been told by CEO’s, Regional Vice President’s, Director of Operations, Professional Services Coordinators, Regional Directors and by Local, State and Federal Regulators that I am very good at what I do, I should be proud of all I have accomplished and am that I have proven myself to be a valuable asset.
I had taken on a facility that had been without a Director of Nursing for two years or more, being filled with a variety of interim Directors or Directors that were hired too only vacate the position after only weeks. The facility had many compliance issues, a the staff was struggling with rather to stay at the facility or leave as they could no longer struggle with having another interim Director or have a Director hired on a permanent status only to watch them leave after weeks.
While in one position I had a total of 28 Executive Directors in less than two years. Again, the position was filled by interims many were contracted for thirty-days. Some however never stayed for the full thirty days and would leave after only being there a week or two. I did have a few that were permanent hires, but they too would vacate the position after only weeks into the job. Though this proved a challenge it also provided me with a great opportunity to further acquaint myself with facility operations. Unlike most Directors of Nursing, this afforded me the opportunity to expand my role. I was soon negotiating and writing contracts for new services, overseeing the development and implementation of facility marketing strategies. Providing Public Relation services to the community and surrounding area organizations and so much more, it was an excellent time of learning and development in both my professional and personal life.
