Experience: Aircraft Structural Maintenance Mechanic 8/2003 - 8/2007 United States Air Force, Abilene, TX Maintained and ensured structural stability and repair on both the C-130 and B-1 bomber aircraft, varying from corrosion control, structural deterioration and hydraulic tubing. Performed numerous amounts of minor and complex repairs on sheet metal structures, advanced composite structures, hydraulic tubing fabrication, painting of structures and corrosion removal. Responsible for supervision of crews on and off the airframe. Extremely experienced with hand tools, machinery including bending, forming, cutting and sanding of sheet metal and composites. Have a great deal of experience in advanced composite repair and construction, including boron, graphite, Kevlar, aluminum honeycomb, and fiberglass. Thrive to produce excellent products with great structural strength and visual appeal. I have great experience with paint and coating removal, to include sanding, blasting, stripper compounds, and other means. Also experienced in masking of aircraft/aircraft parts, preparation and painting on a variety of textures. I am also very familiar with manufacturing, remanufacturing and test fitting of hydraulic lines including titanium, steel and aluminum tubing.
