Objective: I want to do hands on maintenance of aircraft or repair of sheet metal. I am open to different challenges and a variety of repairs. Fabrication of aircraft parts and repair parts is what I've been doing for almost four years and I'd like to continue repair or manufacturing parts.
Experience: Maintained and ensured structural stability and repair on both the C-130 and B-1 bomber aircraft, varying from corrosion control, structural deterioration and hydraulic tubing. Performed numerous amounts of minor and complex repairs on sheet metal structures, advanced composite structures, hydraulic tubing fabrication, painting of structures and corrosion removal. Responsible for supervision of crews on and off the airframe. Extremely experienced with hand tools, machinery including bending, forming, cutting and sanding of sheet metal and composites. Have a great deal of experience in advanced composite repair and construction, including boron, graphite, Kevlar, aluminum honeycomb, and fiberglass. Thrive to produce excellent products with great structural strength and visual appeal. I have great experience with paint and coating removal, to include sanding, blasting, stripper compounds, and other means. Also experienced in masking of aircraft/aircraft parts, preparation and painting on a variety of textures. I am also very familiar with manufacturing, remanufacturing and test fitting of hydraulic lines including titanium, steel and aluminum tubing. Have coordinated work efforts with other maintenance personnel to ensure product fitment and compatibility. Have developed an even stronger sense of attention to detail. Very self dependent yet enthusiastic to work with others to produce above quality finished products. Became very knowledgeable of reading technical orders and reading blue prints or drawings. Have developed a great sense of pride in work, self image, and the supervising of others.
