Experience: Vice President - Risk and Quality - Responsible for execution of the Genworth Risk, Reinsurance and Quality programs for all EBG group and individual product lines. Support Business Leader in top and bottom line growth activities through proactive risk and quality involvement. · Lead the execution of the Genworth enterprise risk framework elements (In-Force Reviews, Monthly Critical Metrics Review, Deal Reviews, Compliance Review Board, Litigation Council, Risk Operating Standards, Sales Authority Limits, Concentration of Risk Assessment, Catastrophic Risk Analysis, New Product Introduction Process, Operational Risk Assessments, Reinsurance Retention Limits Assessment) · Lead strategic initiatives supporting business growth & profitability (e.g. Capital Relief Strategies, Risk Pool Participation, Pandemic Risk Assessment, Medical Block Profitability, Business Segment Divestiture, Product Re-Launch, Premium Enhancement Opportunities) · Manage $42MM active and run-off reinsurance contract portfolio. Execution on twelve reinsurance contract renewals and three new contracts resulted in over $7MM annual cost savings in 2005 and 2006 · Development and progression of Economic Capital methodologies · Lead the buisness Quality team in project management of critical business initiatives.
