Objective: My experience in the field of computers has become very diverse and technical. I have thorough knowledge of various PC software packages such as all Win32 OS variants, Testing and Installation Software, Web and Graphics Packages, Desktop Publishers, Network applications including communication programs (TCP/IP, Telnet and others). Further, I have over fifteen years of computer hardware-related experience on PC-based machines ranging from system building to installing networks and operating systems.
I've been employed by industry-leading IT companies such as Bell Sygma, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and CanadianTire in positions ranging from Netscape Liaison to Application Project Leader.

SMS2003 / Active Directory / Group Policy Administrator * Responsible for deploying/pushing finished msi packages to local and remote desktops through the creation and maintenance of collections, packages, and advertisements. Thorough knowledge of msi technology was important to ensuring specific requirements were met. * Coordinated daily clerical operations with the corporate Active Directory and set various rights/privileges between 2 large computer labs in a highly locked down WinXP environment. * Specific policy standards for corporate Domain Users had to be upheld and/or tweaked per desktop requirement.
Package / Application Troubleshooter * Assisted in the pre and post-packaging stages ensuring the installed applications worked within the confines of the environment. This normally entailed file, folder, registry, network, script, and group policy troubleshooting. Understanding of many hard and software constants was essential. * Ensured all pre and post-requisites were preloaded for the target application prior to packaging. Packages were QA�ed prior to production. * Preformed preliminary Windows Vista rationalization to determine the long range viability of the new operating system in the corporate environment and on existing msi re-distributables.

Irving Oil * Large DVD Refresh of 20+ applications were repackaged in both French and English using Installshield AdminStudio 6.0 to work under IOL�s very secure network. Customized transforms (MST) were used on some of these projects.
Deutsche Bank * Packaged 8 applications to run under a Citrix Desktop Environment and deployed through VBscript, XML, and Active Directory. Largest and most complex package assigned was a 1gb install of Visual Studio 6 running under Windows2003 Server. Staging/Imaging equipment consisted of the client�s OS image running VMware 5.5.
Mercer * Repackaged 10+ company-internal and industry-standard applications to accommodate their specific WinXP environment, using Wise Studio 6.
TD Wealth * Original vendor binaries had to be packaged using a custom Installscript wrapper (either MSI or Non-MSI) developed specifically to deploy on a WinXP image. VMware 5.5 was used to test and/or capture the 10+ assigned applications.

Hardware Validation/Certification Technologist: * Preformed quality assurance testing on existing and cutting-edge 3D graphics technologies using various methodologies, debugging tools, and documentation. * Worked and enhanced many variable 3D graphics test-beds by re-evaluating batch code and running driver scripts (built around both InstallShield and Wise) to improve efficiency. * Built and configured multiple system platforms and initiated advanced trouble shooting and standardized analysis procedures to ensure quality and consistency. * Made recommendations for future driver tweaking and hard/software upgrade paths. Software Packaging/Script Writer: * Built and compiled various software installation and presentation packages custom built for the client. Packages would take the form of auto-running presentations or applications compressed and deployed on-demand to various desktops. Primary install packages: InstallShield, SMS 2003, and Ginstall (provided best results) while Wise, MSI, and SFX-Factory were tested.
Image/Web Development Consulting: * Designing and assembling CMYK and RGB photographs based on various requirements using an assortment of high-end imaging applications. Manipulated prepared images were then framed for public display. * Working independently on different assignments consulting with clients and understanding their needs in determining the best results for the final product. * Working with ASP, HTML and animated graphics to create and maintain a dynamic look to the corporate intranet web site so as to develop and maintain a consistent HTML design that gives the site a unique and seamless look making it easy to navigate. * Presentation creation using PowerPoint XP and other major applications were utilized for projects requiring self-running on-screen displays for the client.
Software/System Consultant: * Provided desktop support for various application productivity suites and operating system-related issues. * Assisted in the deployment/rollout of hotfixes and patches to multiple client environments in a large network.
Hardware/System Technician: * Built various x86 system/server boxes and helped coordinate the role out of both Windows2000 and WindowsXP-specific environments in a large deployment. * Assisted in troubleshooting various hard and soft issues that arose during and after role out. * Rebuilt damaged hard disk drives and was instrumental in recovering data from advanced hard crash situations. * Made recommendations for future corporate upgrade paths in regards to hardware requirements and emerging software solutions.
