EXPERIENCE
10/01/1990 - 12/01/1999: Material Planner 2/ Manufacturing Engineer Planner 1
The Boeing Company (, Auburn WA )
As a material planner, I was responsible for the coordination and execution
of processes and business systems to ensure that there was an adequate
supply of materials for production. I helped to maintain the proper
inventory levels by analyzing the production plans, coordinating with
manufacturing areas, negotiating with the suppliers and adjust the ordering
data accordingly. In order to perform this task I had to forecast
requirements and translate the anticipated demand into production orders
and purchase orders for internal and external suppliers. I then had to
manage the release of those orders to balance variations in the production
plan as the occurred. As a manufacturing Engineer Planner, I created and
revised manufacturing, tooling and kit plans for hardware deliverable
products and tools. I did this by reviewing engineering drawings and
related data. I then discussed the design with engineering. I also reviewed
material, component, part and tool selection to identify key manufacturing
considerations for fabrication, optimum assembly, make-or-buy decisions and
inspection. Additionally, I created or maintained part records to support
the release of production and post-production orders. I did this by
reviewing the on-line data systems to verify that production and post
production, and engineering customer identifiers matched. In addition, I
applied issue codes and quantities to define part availability, fabrication
and procurement requirements.

Lead a team of 10 people to improve the production flow process, Designed a
"Special Recognition Program" to improve morale.
