 Assisted with multiple bacterial water quality monitoring projects using EPA Method 1600: Modified Enterococcus Method and EPA Method 1103.1: Escherichia coli in and around the Corpus Christi Bay area.
 Implemented an EPA/TGLO joint project (Texas Beach Watch) that currently monitors bacterial water quality at Nueces County beaches using EPA Method 1600: Modified Enterococcus Method. Used Trimble Geo Explorer III and Trimble Pathfinder Office with ArcView 3.3 to generate images of sample sites.
 Implemented and performed an independent research project (M.S. thesis research) that monitored the 2004 Taura Syndrome Virus outbreak on the South Texas shrimp farms; research surveyed the intermediate hosts and potential transmission vectors of Taura Syndrome Virus on a temporal and geographic basis.
 Presented Taura Syndrome Virus research to the meeting of the World Aquaculture Society in New Orleans, LA (January 2005) and to the Texas Aquaculture Association (February 2005) in Corpus Christi, TX.

Consultant/Environmental Biologist/GIS Analyst
 Acted as GIS analyst for Hunt Petroleum Corporation in Dallas. Using Autodesk Map 3D to create lease and pipeline maps from paper-copy parcel maps. Used digitizing tablet to ortho-rectify points and polylines from paper-copy maps to digital map format.
 Created oil and gas lease maps for several North Texas counties as part of a large leasehold acquisition project. Maps included information about existing leases using land parcel data and Texas Railroad Commission oil lease data. Data processing required extensive manipulation of geodatabases and use of address locators in conjunction with Intersect/Union/Overlay, �Select by attributes,� and �Select by location� features within ArcGIS 9.1.
 Provided GIS mapping services under the START contract as a part of the Hurricane Katrina clean-up efforts. Spent 2 weeks in New Orleans, LA, on-site, acting as GIS analyst for Region 6 of the US EPA. Used databases and GPS data to render maps of hazardous debris, hazardous wastes, and flooded areas of New Orleans and the surrounding Louisiana parishes. Incorporated FEMA flood plain data into maps of flooded areas of New Orleans. The team of four GIS analysts produced over 900 maps in a two-week time period.
 Obtained OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training and certification.
 Assisted with sampling efforts associated with a large-scale asbestos survey in an industrial setting. Used a Trimble GeoXT GPS unit to precisely locate sample points within 3D space. Exported GPS data directly to ArcGIS 8.1 using Trimble Pathfinder Office.
