State Tested Nursing Assistant Resume

Desired Industry: Nurses/Nurses Aids SpiderID: 11839
Desired Job Location: Dayton, Ohio Date Posted: 3/18/2007
Type of Position: Full-Time Permanent Availability Date: 03/20/07
Desired Wage: $10.00/hour
U.S. Work Authorization: Yes
Job Level: New Grad/Entry Level Willing to Travel: No
Highest Degree Attained: Other Willing to Relocate: No

Objective:
My career objective is to find a retirement home or hospital to stay with as I go through nursing school. Working as a nurse aid while I am working towards my goal would give me the experience and knowledge I need to become a successful nurse.

Experience:
My experience as a nurse aid is limited. I was certified on March 15, 2007. As part of my certification, I was required to complete a three day clinical experience in a nursing home where you were given a pass or fail grade. I passed and I was able to pick up skills that I had not yet learned in a matter of hours. I worked in the food service for three years prior to becoming a nurse aide so I do have an immense amount of experience in dealing with new people everyday with respect and courtesy.

Education:
I graduated from high school in 2006 with a G.P.A. of 3.2. I finished my nurse aid training class with a G.P.A. of 4.0. I will be furthering my education in the fall of 2007 with LPN school.

Skills:
The skills that are most important that I possess are patience and empathy. As I mentioned before, I have been in food service for many years. The skills you most often need with customers are patience and empathy. I think these skills will come in great use while I am a nurse aid because residents will find it comforting that I will always have an ear open and will always try to empathize with thier situations or needs.

Additional Information:
