Objective: As an information security specialist with an academic background and extensive practical experience, I am looking for a position that will allow me to take responsibility for developing and managing information systems security policies and architectures, to design and operate monitoring and audit infrastructures and/or to organize and manage computer security incident response teams.
My experience in Tilburg University’s computer and networksecurity team, my role in consulting projects and system development projects, as well as my contacts in the information security world, make me an excellent candidate for such a position. I am willing to relocate for such a challenge. Since my wife is a U.S. citizen, a work permit to be employed by an American organization will be available when required.
Experience: Northwave BV, The Netherlands. Senior Consultant October 2006–present
· Information security consultant, focus on assessments, design and implementation of secure information architectures and policies.
Tilburg University, The Netherlands. Project Leader of the AIRT project June 2004–present
· Responsible for designing the architecture of a web-based information system for supporting computer security incident response teams in their daily operations.
· Leading a small team of 4–6 developers with different backgrounds in computing.
· Participating in the software development cycle as lead developer.
IS Security Officer March 2004–October 2006
· Responsible for running daily operations of the University’s Computer Security Incident Response Team (UvTCERT).
· Substitute head of the team of 7 security specialists.
· Responsible for designing and maintaining the University’s Darknet.
