Information Management Consultant (1982 - Present)

Provide guidance and expertise to clients in business sales and
succession planning. Assisted numerous small and/or family companies
in turning over operations by appraising values and suggesting
alternative courses of action. Most recently affiliated with Golden
Endings Golden Retriever Rescue with involvement in financial,
communications, fundraising and volunteer management.

Representative Projects:

Challenged to turn CAD system with very little documentation into
productive asset for third-generation manufacturing company with no
qualified operators and idle system. After discovering
methods/processes used to design two-dimensional computer screen
layout (through trial and error and intuition), printed layout on
paperboard and used design as template for art/text layout and for
constructing cutting die for carton manufacturing. Designed 3,000+
individual cutting dies using system that had been abandoned for lack
of qualified operator. Won two design awards from National Paperbox
Association including Gold Award, National Paperbox Assn (2000) and
Excellence Award (1999)

* Hired to determine potential return of fully integrating local
software developer's existing construction industry software suite
with Microsoft and Great Plains software platforms in order to
qualify for prestigious Value-Added Reseller designation and enter
huge international market. After carefully reviewing experiences of
software developers that had integrated with Microsoft and/or Great
Plains Software platforms, advised that because of limited human
resources it was not in client's best interest to agree to
Microsoft's requirements (sales quotas, staffing increases, capital
prerequisites, programming) and instead recommended client grow
proprietary software sales (in view of recent sales success in
England) and direct resources at core business in order to meet
growing service and support demands.


R. WILKE MEATS, INC. (Columbus, OH)

Family-owned company (founded in 1895) specializing in quality beef,
pork, lamb, veal, and smoked hams/sausages. Serviced hotels,
restaurants, and institutions within 100-mile radius of plant in
Columbus.

Executive Vice President (1980 - 1982)

Credited with taking mature company to the next level as
manufacturing entity in order to enter regional marketplace.
Entrusted to develop new corporate identity for extensive line of pre-
cooked beef and pork products (new trade name, trademarks, logo,
promotional materials) and represent Company with International Food
Service Executives Association, NAMP annual meetings, and conventions.

delivery of custom-cut, portion-controlled products.

Sales Representative (1978 - 1980)

Requested to return to sales department after sales manager's
retirement and tasked to sell to major house accounts in metropolitan
area - hospitals, country clubs, schools, delis, mom and pop's, and
national chain restaurants. Called on distributors in OH, MI, IN, and
PA.

performing demonstrations to show high quality of meat and
convenience of preparation.

state and federal regulations regarding ingredient statements on
product labels for full line of smoked and cooked whole-muscle and

by spearheading and implementing innovative sales incentive plan
(based on data from computerized MIS).

* Produced four-color product brochures for regional roll-out of
cooked USDA Choice beef prime rib and top round, pork loin, beef and
pork cubes, meat loaf, and other institutional meat products.
