CREATED the first Farmers' Home Administration financed housing development in an urban area. Recognized the presence of farm workers in a community, researched their work patterns, organized a non-profit, found land, found funding, hired architects and contracts, provided construction oversight, and hired a property management team. Results: 18 new units of safe, affordable housing were made available for farm workers and their families.
OBTAINED $1.2M in federal grants to design and conduct adult learning workshops to prepare and enhance teacher-learning skills to effectively use technology in their classrooms and developing lesson plans. Results: Over 60 teachers attended the training. Post workshop evaluations measured an 82% increase in teacher use of technology in the classrooms. Surveyed 24 individuals and analyzed the data to identify the impact of Internet use in teaching and learning. ORGANIZED a planning effort that led to the creation of a technology plan for an international school. Organized the study team, interviewed the key individuals, analyzed the needs, developed consensus among those effected, wrote a draft plan, sought agreement, presented the final plan to the funding entity. Results: The commitment of significant financial resources to fund the recommendations of the plan.
