Experience : Cryogenic Refrigeration SpecialistIGC Polycold, IncPetaluma, CA 94952 1996 - PresentResponsible for the repair of closed loop cryogenic refrigeration systems. Duties include working to repair, inspecting and installing components that make up the refrigeration system to ensure product line is of the highest quality. Specific responsibilities and tasks performed:•Electrical – compressors, high and low voltage boxes. Includes wiring, use of multi-meter and understanding the complete wiring of units. ▪Faults/safety – To be able to read and understand why these occur, and how to reset or repair the unit. ▪Testing – know all test equipment and able to test according to ISO standards. Requires knowledge of all types of units and ability to troubleshoot, in-house or in the field. ▪Leak Check – Use ISO standards onsite and soap and hand-help leak devices in the field. ▪Foaming – Removal from unit and after servicing prep and re-foam. ▪Construction – Build parts according to blue prints and place them in units. ▪Brazing – Braze soft solder, silver solder and Dyno flow per ISO standards. ▪Paneling – Using ISO standards clean and prep all units. ▪Charging – Use charge cart to pre-mix charges and calculate the amounts needed per unit for in-house charging. ▪Perform skilled specialized work in the analysis, service, repair and design modification of all brands of ultralow temperature cryogenic refrigeration systems including Cryotiger, PGCLs, gas chillers and PFC fast direct defrost systems. ▪Analyze systems problems; determine cause of malfunction or system failure, advise principal investigators of corrective action and carry out approved maintenance, repair or design modification in accordance with investigators’ instructions and maintenance schedules.
Education/Training: ▪Brazing certification for TUV▪ESCO Institute Type II▪EECO MS 50 and MS 10 certified▪CFC certification for working with various types of gases and refrigerants▪ Diploma, 1986, Turlock High School
