The primary responsibilities of this position are complex application maintenance and support. With minimal supervision, provides support to existing production applications; and, performs complex technical analysis, design, development and implementation of new applications using existing and emerging technology.

Under minimal direction and support provides application analysis, solution design, documentation, integration, development, testing and deployment. Provides mentoring and knowledge transfer to Application Developers including providing input to performance evaluations, training and developing staff and assigning work to staff and directs the workflow assigned to his/her area of jurisdiction. Support complex business process, problem analysis and consultation. Process complex open defect/maintenance tickets and correct complex technical errors. Ensure application, P2P and promotion package documentation is current and complete. Provide after hours "on call" support.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with a major in computer science, computer information systems or related field required or in lieu of a Bachelor's degree an additional five (5) years of development/support experience required in addition to the experience requirement listed below.

At least 2 years of experience:
1. Business Objects and/or BRIO (or similar reporting application) experience required.
OR
2. Informatica Power Center and Informatica Power Exchange (or similar ETL application) experience required.

Five (5) years experience working in a support/development environment required including:
1. Minimum three to five (3 - 5) years' Relational database (Sybase or Oracle) development and debugging experience (Transact-SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, etc.)
2. Minimum three to five (3 - 5) years data mapping, translation, and conversion experience required.
3. Minimum three to five (3 - 5) years structured and ad hoc report design and development experience required.
4. Minimum three to five (3 - 5) years' development experience in data warehouse and data mart environments.
5. Understanding of data warehouse modeling techniques including Star and Snowflake schemas.
6. Understanding and following SDLC methodology required.
7. Testing procedures including creation of test cases/scripts, test data and validation of results required.
8. Experience with coordinating activities/timelines with multiple projects required.

Preferred:
1. Java, J2EE, C++, and/or Visual Basic application development experience preferred.
2. Application design experience preferred.
3. Three to five (3 - 5) years PVCS Version Manager (or similar source code management system) experience preferred.
4. Three to five (3 - 5) years Unix/AIX experience preferred (commands, syntax, shell scripting, batch file processing, file transfer, etc.)
5. Health care insurance systems experience preferred.

Required:
1. Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple project and timelines required.
2. Expert in multiple specialized phases of application development required.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
4. Excellent problem solving skills required.
5. Ability to work independently within guidelines, provide technical consulting on complex projects considering equipment capacity, limitations, operating time and desired results required.
6. Experience in formal Quality Review process, including but not limited to, instructing, directing, mentoring and reviewing other team members required.
7. Ability to ensure SDLC methodology is followed, including conducting inspections and post implementation reviews required.
8. Ability to act as a primary liaison with business personnel to conduct analysis of organizational needs for development and modifications of new and existing applications required.
9. Ability to create detailed technical design, code, test, debugs, document, and maintain applications required.
10. Knowledge of FTP and HIPAA compliant ANSI formatted EDI transactions required.

Preferred:
1. Knowledge of Health Care processing preferred
