Opportunity
We are looking for independently contracted work from home recruiter appointment setters. We provide leads to call but the financial advisors aren’t expecting your call. We want contractors who know all about cold calling being a numbers game and are experienced in telesales / telemarketing / recruiting. You would essentially be asking them if they would be open to meeting with a representative from any one of the top clients RJ & Makay represents. For those who are willing, you will ask them a few basic questions, fill out a profile form, and submit their information to us. We take care of the rest.

RJ & Makay manages the entire interviewing and negotiating life cycle. Our appointment setter recruiters don’t have to be financial experts to establish interest from a FA. Once interest is established we take over all correspondence and candidate management. For establishing interest you get about a third of the fee we receive. We have the best clients in the industry, and with the current turmoil, we need more recruiters to help with the increased volume. This is the easiest time ever to be recruiting brokers.

Compensation
We pay our contractors a split fee of 33% of the fee we receive. Our average fee range is from $30,000 to $70,000 per placement and the fee is based upon how big (assets and revenues) the financial advisor manages. It’s not uncommon to have total fees in the $90,000 range, its just not the average. We pay you within 72 hours of getting paid by our client.

This is elephant hunting. Typically a recruiter can only find one to two FAs willing to meet one of our clients each calling day. It is a small percentage of FAs willing to meet that will become a placement. However, just a handful of placements can mean six figures in recruiter income annually.

Ramp up times used to be 4 to 6 months in the FA recruiting industry. However, in the last year, with all of the turmoil in financial services we have seen many of our placements happen in less than 4 months from start to finish.

Work from home
Successfully working from home requires a certain mindset and self-discipline that many people don’t possess. This is an independent contractor relationship. Although leads are provided, we do not provide office equipment. You’re not punching a clock and as your own business owner you obviously work when you decide to. Full-time or part-time is irrelevant. We are looking for contractors that can bring us quality and interested candidates.

No fees or costs
There is no fee or cost of any kind to our independent contractors. Nothing is purchased and you never give us bank account information or anything else confidential. The only costs you would be responsible for is your phone and Internet. There is an independent contractor agreement we need to have signed and you need to provide us with a W-9.

May not be for you
This isn’t for everyone and in fact isn’t for most people. Cold calling is hard even when you have the leads to call. Although most everyone you are calling is nice to you most of your calls will be soft rejections.

We really want to emphasize the elephant hunting aspect to this. You can get a placement one month and receive a check for $30,000 and then go two months without a check at all to have your next check only be $10,000. It’s peaks and valleys in this aspect of the industry so managing money is important because you’re not going to earn income in a month-by-month predictable way.
