Company Profile

Our client is a well-renowned company providing optical products to the Canadian market for almost 50 years. Their products are highly recognized eyewear both in the prescription and consumer categories. The company is in need of an Optical Account Manager for British Columbia.

Responsibilities

# Reporting to the Division Sales Manager
# Calling on existing and developing new accounts such as Optical stores and Sports shops in the assigned territory
# Selling Rx / non-Rx eyewear and sunglasses to Optometrists,
# Opticians, Store Owners, etc.
# Implementing company-initiated marketing programs, as well as his/her own territorial projects to enhance sales drive
# Continuously updating his/her product and business knowledge
# Close coordination with Management on preparing deals (discounts, terms and conditions)
# Implement sales activities within defined travel and expense guidelines.
# Present periodic sales updates and reports to show progress, plans and recommendations for territorial business development

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will be an outgoing, assertive personality and must have a good working knowledge of optometric supplies and procedures. Previous outside sales experience will be an asset but not required.

This is a commission-based position with 70k guaranteed annual income; definite potential to earn more with the generous commission scheme offered by the company (details to be disclosed to qualified candidates only). Benefits include extended medical and dental after 3 months of employment.
