Job Description:

Job Summary: Looking for a highly energetic, forward-thinking individual to lead the manufacturing engineering department to become an industry leader in innovation, speed to market, design for manufacturability, and cost optimization. This person will lead the department that is responsible for cost estimating, the development of manufacturing processes for new products, and continuous process improvement to existing products.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Works cross functionally with other departments to achieve employee and customer satisfaction, as well as company financial and operational goals
• Responsible for the development and improvement of manufacturing processes
• Responsible for manufacturing process control and capability
• Responsible for competitive cost estimating for new products and designing processes that meet those cost estimates
• Responsible for analyzing and giving feedback to customer product designs that can improve the manufacturability of the product
• Directly supervises employees in the Engineering Department by motivating, leading and managing
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws up to and including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees.
• Resource management of department to achieve employee and customer satisfaction

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, preferred background in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering unless relevant performance competency is deemed adequate.
• Minimum of 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience unless relevant performance competency is deemed adequate.
• Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships internally and externally; effectively negotiate with product and service providers to achieve short- and long-term procurement objectives.
• Proven ability in managing and developing people and teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and workflows successfully.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to spreadsheet, word processing and email applications.
