A client in Honolulu that provides advanced technology solutions to large commercial, government and military customers needs a Senior System Engineer for their Advanced Network Systems team.

This is a small but fast-growing company. This position is scheduled to grow into a Director-level position as the company grows, so this is a great position for someone looking for more responsibility and management career path.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on team lead with an in-depth understanding of communications networking principles and a broad scope of knowledge relating to networking technologies, engineering guidelines, industry best practices and market solutions

In this position you will provide leadership, innovation, subject matter expertise for execution on programs with the focus of developing new capabilities in the Advanced Network Systems business area.

You will be responsible for technically leading engineering teams, capturing business, and developing new products.

Duties:

o. Define technical direction for programs and lead teams to successful execution

o. Develop positive and lasting customer relationships, support program reviews, and issues resolution in concert with government sponsor

o. Participate in opportunity identification, qualification, and proposal development

o. Engineering tasks include software development, design and demonstration

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

o. 10+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in the DOD and Federal industry (Required)

o. Experience in both Government and commercial sectors a plus

o. Strong technical skills and expertise in 3 or more of the following (Required):

� Switching / routing setup, configuration, and use

� Network security principles

� Encryption technologies and deployment

� Wireless networks

� Routing protocols

� Quality of Service monitoring and configurations

� Knowledge of MANETs and Cyber security principles preferred

o. Experience identifying clear and realistic software requirements while performing as technical lead during requirements definition, development, testing, assessment and integration (Required)

o. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to orally answer questions clearly and succinctly (Required)

o. Have or be able to attain DOD security clearance (Required)

o. Experience taking a product first designed for DOD use and reengineering it into a commercial product a MAJOR plus.

o. Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (Required); MS preferred
