Job Description:
Workers Comp Insurance company in the SAN DIEGO, CA area has an immediate need for a Nurse Case Manager.
-Will be responsible for the analysis and management of medical issues and treatment in workers' compensation claims.
-Will be working closely with a Work Comp Examiner to manage medical throughout the life of the claim.
-Coordinates ancillary services, maintains professional client relationships, will handle utilization review, and medical & disability management.
Job Requirements:
-Must have 5+ years’ medical case management experience and in-depth knowledge of appropriate medical principles.
-Job requires understanding of workers' comp laws and ICD-9 and CPT codes.
-Must be an RN, have a 4-year college degree and have strong written, verbal, organizational and negotiation skills.
-Professional CCM designation is preferred or has to be obtained once hired.
