Job Description:
New Jersey based Privately-owned pharmaceutical services organization, with offices in California seeks individuals to assist in a Bi-Polar Depression Study that will require us to perform quality control evaluations of raters in the Czech Republic on the MADRS. We also have a schizophrenia study that will require us to train and perform quality control evaluations of raters in Croatia on the PANSS. We are looking to identify trainers to provide training, quality control reviews and feedback to raters in their native language (Czech and Croatian). Each trainer would go through a thorough training process with organization on the appropriate scales; however, we do expect that trainers will have experience with the scale and population in advance of our training. Training of raters will likely take place at an Investigator’s Meeting, thus some travel may be necessary. Quality control for these studies will consist of reviewing a provided audio recording of a study interview, scoring the interview, evaluating the interview using the Rater Applied Performance Scale (RAPS), and providing written feedback to the rater via e-mail. The review of audio recordings and all necessary documents will take place via a web-based application. Trainer will be assigned reviews via e-mail and will have 24 hours to decide if they will be able to complete the review. If the trainer agrees to complete the review, it will need to happen within 3 business days of the assignment of the task. We expect the MADRS reviews to take around 1 hour to 1.5 hours and the Trainer will be paid $150USD for each review/feedback assignment. We expect the PANSS reviews to take around 1.5 - 2 hours and the trainer will be paid $200USD for each review/feedback assignment. They will also be paid for training activities. As you can see, this is an extremely part-time on-call type of role that can easily be done off hours from anywhere in the world. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in identifying anyone who is fluent in English and Czech or Croatian that has experience with these scales and the population. Centralizing the assessments increases the precision, accuracy, reliability, and quality of the administration of psychiatric diagnostic and symptom assessments.
