Job Description: The selected candidate shall perform the required services during the government customer service hours, Monday through Friday, 7:15 am to 4:00 pm MST. The candidate will not work on federal holidays or base down days. The candidate must dress in appropriate business attire and maintain a professional appearance while providing services.
The candidate will meet and greet customers in a congenial manner and provide assistance as needed. He/she will holistically assess customer needs and refer customer to community resources or to appropriate staff member as appropriate.
The candidate must have basic knowledge on computers, printers, and typewriters, and must be familiar with Veteran’s benefits such as medical, educational, dependent entitlements, home loans, claim forms, and work study programs.
The candidate will post new job listings as received, and purge outdated listings on a weekly basis.
The candidate will collect and maintain statistical data on resource center operations, information and referral inquiries, and client contacts (both formal and informal) using the Family Integrated Result Statistical Tracking (FIRST) system. He/she will provide reports to applicable program managers, customer readiness NCOIC, and government customer Director.
The candidate will maintain files of articles, company resources/literature, and related materials for the purpose of developing resumes and conducting research. He/she will perform extensive daily research for new business/employment prospects, and employment assistance resources examining sources/resources both on and off base.
The candidate will ensure the resource center area is neat, clean, and organized. This includes updating resource racks and files as new materials become available, in addition to purging outdated resources.
The candidate will provide tours of the government customer resource center for both walk-in customers and scheduled workshop participants.
The candidate will check out books for customer use in-center only. He/she will ensure books are returned before the customer leaves the building.
The candidate will ensure customers sign-in and show military ID card to document usage of the government customer resource center. He/she will computerize process as resources become available. The contractor will provide quarterly sign in reports to the NCOIC; reports will include Quality Assurance Evaluation (QAE) elements, and services provided to customer statistics.
The candidate will ensure customer feedback is collected and totaled from users of government customer resource center.
The candidate will conduct periodic checks of client computer usage, ensuring that computers are being used for the government customer and job search functions, and not for unauthorized functions or internet sites. He/she will ensure computer workstations are clean, neat, and orderly. The candidate will wipe down computer workstations and computers on a daily basis.
The candidate will attend government customer staff meetings and staff training that relates to the operations, making recommendations on how to better support those resource services and integrate them into overall operational objectives.
The candidate will provide assistance to customers faxing approved documents. He/she will fill out AF Form 1072 for long distance faxes.
Job Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Candidate must have experience and expertise that demonstrates an in-depth knowledge and background in providing professional and administrative support services in a performance-based Department of Defense environment.
The candidate must be proficient with the Microsoft Office 2003 suite of products(Word, Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint). Experience is required in order to prepare all documents, listings, tables, briefings, and worksheets.
