Job Description:
Prep cooks perform basic food / salad preparation duties like cleaning and slicing produce, slicing cold meats, and making garnishes by following nursing home specifications and quality and sanitation standards. Prep cooks also store unused food appropriately and maintain a clean work area.
Job Requirements:
Basic cooking knowledge and knife skills are preferred; however, much salad prep cook training is available on the job. The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and the willingness to respond positively to criticism are necessary.
