Job Description:
Supports production efforts of the company/group by providing technical support to plant operating and maintenance department to work or manage projects to develop new or existing equipment, instrumentation, and raw materials. Manages multiple small, single medium project, or significant portion of a large project.
Essential Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager and is responsible for developing comprehensive project scope, design, and documentation. Responsible for developing scope and objectives for all plant capital projects, drawing packages, schedules and conducts capital review meetings as needed, to assure project continuity and to establish capital priority needs of the plant. This position will be responsible for engineering and design, contractor selection/administration, selection and ordering of equipment and materials, cost estimation, installation supervision, and startup supervision.
Qualifications:
Requires BS Degree in Engineering with 3-5 years related experience
AutoCAD and MS Project Preferred.
Prior supervisory and food plant experience preferred.
Prefer candidate having passed EIT and/or PE.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required.
Flexibility to work any days and shifts as necessary to support a 24/7 operation.
