Job Description:
DUTIES:
The Director of Engineering provides technical leadership to engineering managers and project teams responsible for the design of high performance production lines for spinning, flow forming, sheet metal forming and welding systems. Directs department of several dozen engineers and technical professionals to ensure engineering support is provided to customers, sales, project managers, manufacturing and international facilities. Oversees the preparation of engineering time and cost budgets for equipment projects and manages actual expenditures to ensure timely completion within the estimated amount. Evaluates, advises general management of opportunities, and implements new state-of-the art technologies as applicable for product improvement, cost reduction and new product development. Domestic and international travel is required.

Do not even bother sending candidates that (1) lack serious machine design experience, (2) don’t have prior engineering leadership experience, (3) require significant immigration time and $ (although a TN visa is acceptable), (4) don’t fit the base pay range, (5) wouldn’t move to the area.
